Jon Snow has been the Main Presenter of Channel 4 News since 1989. He has cycled to and from work and indeed at work all his working life. He reckons the bike has given him many beats on breaking stories. He was on the DOT Cycle working party from 1997 to 2001. He was a reporter with ITN from 1976; Washington correspondent 1983-87, and Diplomatic Editor from 1989. He has been President of CTC for past six years. He’s also been a Trustee of the Tate, and the National Gallery. He is Chair of New Horizon – a day centre from homeless and vulnerable teenagers, and Deputy Chair of the Media Trust.
